When we first arrived, things went very well. Just a heads up - Google shows that the hotel is near the river, but it is definitely about 10 minutes north of the Duomo. Recommend you look up the address first. Benedetta was nice and she showed us to the room and gave us the keys. She even offered to order a taxi if necessary. We went off to explore the city and honestly, we would not have cared too much about the hotel since we came for the art. We did not come to sit in the hotel for the trip, but here are a few things that caused us to almost lose it. First of all, we got charged 70 euros for cleaning service. No problem - we read about that and were forewarned. PROBLEM IS that there was absolutely no cleaning done!! Our bed was made without moving any of our belongings (which made us suspicious in the first place) and the towels that we asked to have replaced steadily became filthier and filthier. They are white, and were clean when we first got there, but steadily became dirtier, as though they were being used to wipe down the apartment!! The floors were never swept or cleaned (we had a small splash of something in the middle of the floor when we came in, like some coffee got spilled or something and we thought nothing of it, but it stayed there for 5 days... could tell it would come off with some elbow grease). The walls were smeared with black stuff - as though someone got some charcoal and just randomly touched the walls with their hands. If that's remodeling, I must be completely out of touch with reality. Then, three days in we had a problem with the showers - the drain would not do what it is supposed to do - the water started to back up and it would not go away! Reported the problem immediately, and nothing was done. So, we had to take Marine Showers - less than a minute of running water or it would flood. I understand being conservative with water, but that's ridiculous! Whenever we tried to communicate, it was always very delayed. There was no way to contact Benedetta for anything without waiting at least 8 hours to a day for a response. It was somewhat inconvenient, and we tried to overlook it, but if you lock yourself out, you are SOL for the night. As we were leaving, we were told to leave the keys in the room and to close the door. I made a mistake - left one luggage case on the top of the stairs and the door to the street slammed shut behind me. There was absolutely no way to contact Benedetta for the emergency and luckily we were saved by someone else in the building. Without a receptionist or a guest desk, there are a TON of problems. (Benedetta texted us online 24 hours after that little escapade if everything is ok... good timing). TL;DR - Took 70 Euros for service - none provided. No communication. No clean... anything really.
Roof exists. Doesn't leak.
No service. No toilet paper after first night. No clean towels. No clean walls. No clean floor. No communication. No repairs for backing up water in shower. Still take money for service. :)

I stayed at this beautiful, centrally located apartment for a few days while exploring the city. The representative, Lugano, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even assisting with our luggage. The apartment itself was spacious and had a charming old world feel, with a mix of modern amenities and original features like the arched brick ceiling. The location was perfect for exploring the city on foot, with shopping, groceries, and major historical sites within easy reach. it offered great value for the price.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

The room at Dimora Cavalieri was cozy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchenette that made it feel like a home away from home. I loved having a private balcony, which provided a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring a peaceful and uninterrupted sleep.
Personally, I didn't really use the electric kettle in the room, but I can see how it might be useful for other guests.

Convenient Location: The guesthouse is ideally located in the San Marco-Santissima Annunziata district, just a short distance from popular attractions such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Uffizi Gallery. It's like staying right in the heart of Florence's cultural gems.
Communication Issues: One minor issue was the lack of communication from the owner. Despite confirming an early check-in, we had to wait for an hour with no instructions on how to proceed.
